I currently work as an Associate Director Translational Research at Replimune, a company pioneering the development of next generation oncolytic viruses. In this role, I am responsible for developing and implementing our clinical biomarker strategy and pre-clinical translational studies to enhance our understanding of the biology related to our oncolytic platform and to identify potential therapeutic combination strategies in a variety of solid tumors that are usually less responsive to immune checkpoint inhibition, including tumors which relapse during checkpoint inhibition treatment. Prior to joining Replimune, I was a clinical pharmacist before pursuing a career as a basic scientist. I initially earned a Master’s degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology and conducted research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where I developed transgenic mouse models to understand neuronal circuit formation in developing mouse spinal cord, then I received my PhD in cancer immunology from Rutgers University. My research was focused on developing combination strategies utilizing HSV-1 oncolytic virus for the treatment of melanoma and other cancers. I also helped establish an immune monitoring core facility within the Cancer Center. I have published numerous scientific manuscripts and abstracts in the field of oncolytic immunotherapy
