"Targeting The Tissue and Tumor Microenvironment and Microbiome To Promote Health and End Cancer"Jennifer Wargo, MD, MMScThe University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
SITC invites you to attend the workshop, Tumor Immune Microenvironment: A Holistic Approach Workshop, which will focus on the tumor microenvironment and its possible impact on the development of future immunotherapies.
Immunotherapeutic approaches are not equally effective across cancer types because not all tumor types are the same. This workshop shines a spotlight on an exciting, emerging area of immunotherapy research. Through this two-day workshop, basic and translational researchers will gain cutting-edge knowledge to different tumor microenvironments and the efficacy of immunotherapy across tumor types, a topic that has largely been unexplored. Together, attendees can share research and experiences to ignite a bigger spark for tumor microenvironment investigations and collaborate to improve patient outcomes.
Both in-person and virtual attendees will be able to watch presentations as they happen, ask questions live, and network with fellow researchers to share information. Live presentations and materials will be available online to watch again, any time.
The target audience for this program includes basic and translational researchers from academic, industry, or government settings with interest in the relationship between the tumor microenvironment and cancer immunotherapy.
Call for AbstractsThe deadline to submit an abstract was Feb. 28, 2022 at 5 p.m. PST.
Eight slots for oral abstract presentations are available during this workshop.
Posters will be presented during the Poster Session. Poster specifications will be based on the number of abstracts that will be presented and will be provided with acceptance notifications. The presenting author is responsible for printing, bringing and hanging up their poster. SITC does not provide printing services on-site, or special accommodations for disposing of or shipping posters after the workshop.
