Organizer preview
Sneak peek from one of our rockstar co-organizers, Dr. Stefani Spranger at the MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, of our upcoming Tumor Immune Microenvironment Workshop.
Overview
SITC invites you to attend the workshop, Tumor Immune Microenvironment: A Holistic Approach Workshop, which will focus on the tumor microenvironment and its possible impact on the development of future immunotherapies.
Immunotherapeutic approaches are not equally effective across cancer types because not all tumor types are the same. This workshop shines a spotlight on an exciting, emerging area of immunotherapy research. Through this two-day workshop, basic and translational researchers will gain cutting-edge knowledge to different tumor microenvironments and the efficacy of immunotherapy across tumor types, a topic that has largely been unexplored. Together, attendees can share research and experiences to ignite a bigger spark for tumor microenvironment investigations and collaborate to improve patient outcomes.
Both in-person and virtual attendees will be able to watch presentations as they happen, ask questions live, and network with fellow researchers to share information. Live presentations and materials will be available online to watch again, any time.
Target Audience
The target audience for this program includes basic and translational researchers from academic, industry, or government settings with interest in the relationship between the tumor microenvironment and cancer immunotherapy.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the role of the tumor microenvironment in anti-cancer immune responses.
- Outline methods to investigate the tumor microenvironment.
- Analyze therapeutic approaches to manipulate the tumor microenvironment in cancer immunotherapy.
Call for Abstracts
