One Year • $50,000 Award
To support the development of the next generation of immunotherapy experts and to promote diversity and inclusion in biomedical sciences, this one -year award aims to provide support to an individual who has an MD, PhD or combined MD/PhD degree and a vested interest in furthering the research and translation of cancer immunotherapy, as well as to encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from groups underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences, to pursue further studies or careers in research. The application period is now closed.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current SITC member
- Hold an MD, PhD or combined MD/PhD degree
- Currently hold a position at an academic institution or government cancer center as a postdoctoral fellow, resident, research scientist or comparable position
- Domestic and international applicant are eligible to apply
- Be within postdoctoral or postgraduate training, or no more than four years from completing such training
- Commit 75 percent of workday to research supported by the fellowship
- In order to encourage diversity in the biomedical research field, applicant should self-identify ethnic minority status according to the NIH’s guidance on Underrepresented Populations (The following racial and ethnic groups have been shown to be underrepresented in biomedical research: Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, American Indians or Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders)
