Guideline Education

SITC is pleased to offer companion education resources in support of the multiple myeloma CPG. These activities feature faculty comprised of the guideline Expert Panel and are designed to provide a deeper understanding of the recommendations in the SITC guidelines and how to apply them in various clinical scenarios.  The education available features both webinars that take a deeper look at the guideline recommendations and mini-module videos on a specific topic within the guideline content. Below is a list of the available educational resources for this CPG, available free and on-demand.

Webinars:

• Immunotherapy for the Treatment of Multiple Myeloma- SITC CPG Webinar
  • This one hour on-demand webinar features members of the guideline Expert Panel. These faculty members provide an overview of the published guideline and highlight selected recommendations that are applicable to some of the most common scenarios clinicians may encounter while treating their patients with immunotherapy.

• Practical Management Pearls for Immunotherapy for the Treatment of Multiple Myeloma- SITC CPG Webinar
  • This one hour on-demand webinar features members of the guideline Expert Panel. These faculty members discuss how to appraise and classify organ-specific considerations for immunotherapy agents and toxicities, identify and manage clinically significant uncommon toxicities, and determine optimal sequencing of immunotherapies in relapsed and/or refractory disease.

• Case Studies in Immunotherapy for the Treatment of Multiple Myeloma- SITC CPG Webinar
  • This one hour on-demand webinar features members of the guideline Expert Panel. These faculty members discuss case studies that illustrate execution of SITC guideline recommendations, as well as discussion on difficult topics related to case management. 

Mini-Modules:

• Antibody-Drug Conjugates
  • Expert Panel members describe the use of antibody-drug conjugates, specifically belantamab mafodotin, in multiple myeloma.  A particular focus is placed on the ocular toxicities of this agent and ways to manage patients on this therapy as a result.

• CAR T and Bispecifics
  • An Expert Panel member discusses novel approaches, such as CAR T therapies and bispecific agents for multiple myeloma. A particular focus is on emerging trials of these agents, with a look at how they may impact clinical practice in the future.

• Monoclonal Antibodies
  • An Expert Panel member describes the approved uses of anti-CD38 and anti-SLAMF7 antibodies in multiple myeloma. It also introduces emerging areas for the use of these agents, including their use in earlier lines of therapy and managing CD38-refractory disease.
