The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) is pleased to offer opportunities for physicians, nurses and pharmacists to obtain continuing education (CME, CNE, CPE) and MOC credits for their participation in the 40th Annual Meeting.

Program Description

The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer's (SITC) 40th Anniversary Annual Meeting provides a multidisciplinary educational and interactive environment focused on improving outcomes for current and future patients with cancer by incorporating strategies based on basic and applied cancer immunotherapy.

The Annual Meeting consists of cutting-edge research presentations by experts in the field, both oral and poster abstract presentations, and ample opportunity for structured and informal discussions, including important networking opportunities.

In addition, the meeting includes updates on major national and international initiatives coming from academia, government and industry, as well as important society projects.

The SITC 40th Anniversary Annual Meeting will be held November 7 - 9, 2025 in National Harbor, MD with virtual participation options. 

Target Audience

The target audience for this program is basic and clinical investigators from academic institutions, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and regulatory agencies, including clinicians, basic and translational researchers, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and allied health professionals involved in cancer research as well as pharmacists and payers, who wish to learn more about cancer immunology and immunotherapy and its incorporation into current (and future) effective cancer treatment.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize and integrate the most recent advances in tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy into basic, clinical and translational research
  • Analyze cutting-edge clinical trials to incorporate new research and techniques into clinical applications for cancer immunotherapy
  • Describe immune regulatory pathways that restrict and enhance immunity to tumor antigens, and identify respective targets for therapeutic intervention

Satisfactory Completion

Learners must complete an evaluation form to receive a certificate of completion. If you need MOC credit, you also need to pass a posttest with a score of at least 80%. Your chosen sessions must be attended in their entirety.  Partial credit of individual sessions is not available. If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed below, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your licensing/certification requirement.

At the conclusion of SITC 2025, participants will receive an email to complete the online evaluation for the 40th Annual Meeting. To receive continuing education credits or certificates of attendance, participants must complete the online evaluation form(s) for each program for which they are claiming credits. Upon completion, participants will have immediate access to their CME/CE certificate to download, save and/or print for their files.

Joint Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer. American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) MOC Credit

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6.00 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. You must request your certificate within 30 days of the activity to meet the deadline for submission to PARS.

Program Description

The field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy has driven novel therapeutic options for cancer patients. However, the complexity of the field continues to grow, thus, the SITC Primer on Tumor Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy™ is designed to provide a foundation for understanding core immunology principles as they relate to basic and clinical research in immunotherapy of cancer. The Primer on Tumor Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy™ will also touch on emerging therapies and technologies to ensure attendees at all levels stay updated in our expanding field, while also laying a comprehensive foundational base for all SITC attendees.

Target Audience

The target audience for this annual, one-day educational program includes students, postdoctoral fellows and technicians from academia and industry, as well as physicians and scientists at more senior levels who wish to solidify their understanding of cancer immunology and immunotherapy, pharmacists and registered nurses. Patient advocates are also welcome to attend and learn basic concepts within the field.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the key principles of cancer immunology and immunotherapy in the context of the cancer immunity cycle
  • Review current approaches to immunotherapy including immune checkpoint blockade, vaccines, CAR-T cells, CAR-NK cells, activation of myeloid cells, modulation of tumor metabolism, T/NK cell adoptive transfer and T cell bispecific therapies
  • Outline immune monitoring techniques as well as biomarker strategies and their role in trial design and patient selection
  • Enhance scientific exchange with colleagues and collaborators on research and application of cancer immunotherapies to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
