Hotel Reservation Deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024

Join us in person in Houston, TX or virtually, for SITC's 39th Annual Meeting & Pre-Conference Programs (SITC 2024). SITC 2024 will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. Housing will be available for booking during the registration process.

Important Housing Notice

Showcare Event Solutions is the official housing partner of SITC 2024.

Other third-party companies have been inaccurately representing themselves as a SITC housing vendor.

Hotel reservations for SITC 2024 should be made during registration or with the information received in your confirmation email.

SITC is not responsible for other means of reservation.

Should you provide your credit card information to an unauthorized third-party company, your card may be charged, but you may not have a reservation when you arrive at the hotel.

Reserve a Room

All individuals must be registered for the 2024 SITC Annual Meeting and/or Pre-Conference Program before reserving a hotel room. To register for the meeting and reserve a hotel room, please visit the registration page.

Hotel reservation information will be provided in the meeting registration confirmation email. 

Housing Policy

New hotel reservations will be accepted by the SITC 2024 housing bureau, Showcare Event Solutions until 5 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.  All changes and cancellations must be sent in writing via email to SITC@showcare.com.  You may also make changes by logging into your registration record by 5 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.  On a space-available basis, changes or cancellations made after 5PM PDT on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, should be made directly with the hotel. Note: No changes will be accepted between 5 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, and Sunday, Oct.13, 2024.  Hotels can be contacted directly starting on Tuesday, October 15. If you make changes directly with the hotel on or after Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, this information will not be reflected in your SITC registration.

Board, Speakers and VIP Reservations

If you are a Board Member, Speaker, or VIP, you will be responsible only for paying for room nights and taxes, along with any incidental charges. You will submit your reimbursement form to SITC staff after the event.

Attendees are encouraged to stay at our SITC contracted Hotels. Staying at the contracted hotels not only allows attendees to take advantage of special discounted room rates, but also puts them near all meeting events for maximum interaction with fellow attendees and faculty. Additionally, staying at these hotels helps the Society honor our contractual obligations to avoid negative financial implications which keeps meeting expenses and registration rates lower.

Guarantee & Deposit Policy

All hotel rates are quoted in USD and exclude tax.   Hotel room rates are subject to applicable taxes that are in effect at check-in time.  A credit card is required for each reservation and must have an expiration date on or after February 2025.  Your room is not reserved if you do not provide a valid credit card. The credit card will not be charged until the reservations are sent to the hotels on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024. The hotels may charge a one-night room & tax deposit using the credit card or debit card for subsequent room nights and incidental charges for the entire stay upon check-in.

Cancellation & Changes Policy

All changes and cancellations must be sent in writing via email to SITC@showcare.com.  You may also make changes by logging into your registration record by 5 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024. No changes will be accepted between 5 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, and Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, while reservation information is being prepared and transferred to the hotels.  Cancellations or changes as of Tuesday, Oct. 15, must be made directly with the hotels. Change requests will be made on a space-available basis. (If you make changes directly with the hotel on or after Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, this information will not be reflected in your SITC registration account. 

Cancellation requests received by the hotel 72 hours or less prior to arrival and no-shows will forfeit the one-night room & tax deposit, and the rest of the stay will be cancelled.  SITC 2024 is not responsible for no-shows or early departure fees charged by the hotels or rooms resold due to non-arrival. 

SITC 2024 takes no responsibility should a room preference not be available at check-in. Please visit the hotel’s websites for check-in and check-out times.  

Student Housing Information

SITC has a limited number of discounted rooms available for postdoctoral fellows and students. Reservations are based upon a first-come, first-served basis to students. One room reservation per student. Rooms are non-transferable. Individuals are responsible for all of their room charges and fees

Individual must be registered as a student for the 2024 SITC Annual Meeting and/or a SITC 2024 Pre-Conference Program 

Your specific reservation is being held for you in the inventory of rooms the hotel blocked for this meeting. SITC takes no responsibility should a room type not be available at check-in.
