Program Summary
From the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC), these enduring materials from the SITC 29th Annual Meeting (2014): Adoptive Immunotherapy on November 7, 2014 in National Harbor, MD focus on two cell types, tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and T cells genetically modified with chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that have progressed to late phase studies. Two presentations focused on TILs addressing how biomarkers can be used to characterize the cell product and monitor responses and describing clinical results from an ongoing European phase III trial, as well as discuss possible ways to improve response rates. In addition, two other presentations reviewed clinical experience with CAR-transduced T cells in the clinic and discuss
