The International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer (iSBTc) 25th Annual Meeting: Workshop on Monoclonal Antibodies in CancerOctober 1, 2010Hyatt Regency Washington on Capital HillWashington, D.C.Program OrganizersGlenn Dranoff, MD - Dana-Farber Cancer InstituteIra Mellman, PhD - Genetech, Inc. George J. Weiner, MD - University of IowaProgram SummaryTo ensure effective translation of monoclonal antibody-based cancer immunotherapies to the clinical arena - either as monotherapies or in combination with other cancer therapies - it is critical that clinicians and scientists are educated on the most current information about engineering monoclonal antibodies, immunomodulatory monoclonal antibodies, tumor-targeting monoclonal antibodies, investigation of monoclonal antibodies as vaccines, and the lessons learned from monoclonal antibody therapy in other diseases. Therefore, this Workshop strives to improve the clinical outcomes of cancer patients through the development and clinical application of antibody-based cancer treatments.Target AudienceThe target audience for these programs incorporates basic and clinical investigators from academic, regulatory and biopharmaceutical venues. The audience includes clinicians, researchers, students, post-doctoral fellows and allied health professionals.
