The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) hosted the Primer on Tumor Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy™ during the 2016 Annual Meeting & Associated Programs on November 10, 2016. Available here are the presentation slides and video.

Program Summary

The 2016 SITC Primer on Tumor Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy™ provided a foundation for understanding core immunology principles as they relate to basic and clinical research in immunotherapy of cancer. The presentations gave an overview of several general immunology and cancer immunotherapy topics including basic immunology, passive immunotherapy, active immunotherapy and immune monitoring.

Target Audience

The intended audience for this annual, one-day educational program that immediately preceded the SITC Annual Meeting included students, postdoctoral fellows and technicians from academia and industry, as well as physicians and scientists at senior levels who wished to revisit and solidify their understanding of tumor immunology and immunotherapy prior to the conference.
