Filippo Pederzoli, MD

Filippo Pederzoli, MD, received his medical degree from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan, Italy. During medical school, he did research exchange periods at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, under the supervision of Dr Massimo Loda, and at the Johns Hopkins University, under the supervision of Dr Trinity J. Bivalacqua. He is currently enrolled in the last year of the International PhD Program in Molecular Medicine at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan, Italy.

His clinical and research interests are focused on genitourinary malignancies, with an emphasis on biological biomarker of therapy response in the tumor microenvironment. In particular, his current research is mostly focused on the role of the urinary microbiota in the pathobiology of bladder cancer and in response to traditional and investigational therapies, including immunotherapy.
