Since SITC’s founding in 1985, the society has proudly supported the immuno-oncology (IO) community as the field has grown into a transformative standard of care for many cancer patients. As we celebrate our 40
th anniversary, we are thrilled to return to the Gaylord National Harbor Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD, for the
40th Anniversary Annual Meeting & Pre-Conference Programs (SITC 2025), taking place Nov. 5–9.
This gathering will be a chance to reflect on the extraordinary progress our community has achieved over the past four decades, while also looking to the promising future of cancer immunotherapy. With both in-person and virtual registration options available, I encourage you to
secure your spot today.
For those making breakthroughs in the field, we invite you to share your work with the broader IO community.
Regular and Young Investigator Award abstract submissions are open through June 26 at 5 p.m. PT. We are also excited to announce additional
Late-Breaking Abstract (LBA) oral presentation opportunities, exclusively for interventional clinical trials, with submissions accepted from July 16 to Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. PT. We also invite you to participate in the
World Immunotherapy Council (WIC) Symposium on Nov. 5 from 8 a.m.– 1 p.m. ET. This half-day program brings together international investigators to highlight groundbreaking immunotherapeutic advances, with the goal of facilitating scientific exchange and networking from across the globe.
In these ever-changing times, SITC is committed to supporting young investigators and will
grant 40 Young Investigator Awards to recognize excellence in novel research. Award recipients will receive travel support to attend the 40
th Anniversary Annual Meeting and gain valuable exposure to the broader IO community. Furthermore, SITC has numerous Pre-Conference Programs geared towards young investigators and I invite you to explore these opportunities
here.
Finally, I hope you’ll join me in looking forward to the powerful scientific discussions ahead, including the Keynote Address, Targeting the Microbiome to Promote Health and End Cancer, presented by Jennifer A. Wargo, MD, MMSc – The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Richard V. Smalley Memorial Award and Lectureship, The Coming Renaissance of Cancer Immunotherapy, presented by Ira Mellman, PhD, FAACR, FAIO – Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, Medici Therapeutics.
Thank you for being part of this remarkable journey. Together, let’s continue to transform cancer care and shape the next 40 years of progress.
James L. Gulley, MD, PhD, FACP
