Poster Presentation Dates
A virtual Poster Hall will be available for all poster presentations. Each regular, Young Investigator Award and late-breaking abstract presenting author will have the opportunity to record a brief presentation to accompany their virtual poster.
Dedicated Virtual Poster Viewing sessions will be held during the Annual Meeting. Author presence is requested during the Virtual Poster Viewing sessions to answers questions and interact with meeting attendees in real time. The date and times for the Virtual Poster Viewing sessions will be announced soon.
The time frame to submit your latest research in the cancer immunotherapy field to the 35th Anniversary Annual Meeting & Pre-Conference Programs (SITC 2020) for consideration as an oral abstract presentation, rapid oral abstract presentation and/or poster abstract presentation is April 1, 2020, through 5 p.m. PDT on Aug. 26, 2020.
Recognizing the unfortunate impact COVID-19 has had on the progress of cancer immunotherapy research this year, SITC leadership has opened the late-breaking abstract (LBA) submission period to all submitters.
SITC will no longer require a LBA application to be submitted beforehand. If you have previously submitted a LBA application, you will automatically be invited to submit a full LBA during the submission period, Sept. 8–22, 2020. The LBA criteria will be altered to accommodate all research regardless of whether the data was ready for submission during the regular submission period or not.
We hope this additional opportunity for abstract submission will provide added assistance for all of the incredible and important work you are doing to continue to move the cancer immunotherapy field forward during this remarkably unusual year.
Late-breaking abstracts are considered for, but not limited to, oral abstract presentations during the late-breaking abstract sessions. The dates and times of these sessions will be announced soon.
Young Investigator Award Abstract
Regular abstracts with primary and presenting authors that are students, postdoctoral research fellows, clinical fellows, or junior faculty with three or fewer years on staff and are current SITC members, may be eligible to receive a Young Investigator Award. Young Investigator Award abstracts require a letter of recommendation as well as additional information regarding the percentage of contribution by the primary and presenting author.
Those selected for the Presidential Travel Award will be invited to give an oral abstract presentation during the virtual Presidential Session.
