A Message from the President

The pace of discovery in cancer immunotherapy continues to accelerate, creating both extraordinary opportunity and an urgent need for collaboration. For more than 40 years, the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Annual Meeting has helped drive these conversations by convening the global immuno-oncology community around the latest advances in science, translational research, and clinical development. SITC 2026, our 41st Annual Meeting and Pre-Conference Programs, will be held Nov. 4̶–8 in Phoenix, AZ and virtually.

SITC 2026 will bring together researchers, clinicians, government and industry leaders for an in-depth exploration of the latest advances across basic, translational and clinical immunotherapy. Designed to foster scientific exchange and practical insight, the meeting will offer both in-person and virtual participation options to ensure broad global engagement.

A central component of SITC 2026 is the opportunity to share your science. I encourage investigators at all career stages to submit abstracts and contribute to the dynamic exchange of ideas that defines SITC’s scientific program. Opportunities include Regular Abstract submissions, Early Career Investigator Award Abstracts, and — opening in July — Late-breaking Abstracts (Clinical Only) highlighting emerging interventional clinical trial data. We are proud to offer more than 90 opportunities for oral abstract presentations this year – including in some plenary sessions.

We are also pleased to highlight two premier plenary sessions. The Keynote Address, T Cell Recognition of Human Cancer: ‘Cracking the Code’, will be presented by Ton Schumacher, PhD of the Netherlands Cancer Institute. In addition, the Richard V. Smalley Memorial Award and Lectureship, Getting Off the Rollercoaster: Personalized Cancer Vaccines Come of Age, will be delivered by Catherine J. Wu, MD of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

I hope you will make plans to join us for SITC 2026 and be part of the conversations shaping the future of immuno-oncology. Additional information, including updates on abstract submissions and program highlights, can be found on the official meeting website.
