Bio

Molecular oncology researcher from Pakistan with an MPhil in Molecular Biology and current experience as a Research Scientist in translational cell biology. My work focuses on cancer-cell stress adaptation, probiotic-derived metabolites, extracellular vesicles, and precision oncology. My MPhil research studied synergistic probiotic-derived metabolites against triple-negative breast cancer cells, including selective cytotoxicity, apoptosis, migration inhibition, RT-qPCR gene-expression changes, and GC-MS metabolite profiling. I am interested in how cancer cells survive treatment pressure and how tumor-intrinsic survival signaling can be targeted more selectively. My long-term goal is to pursue doctoral and postdoctoral training in translational cancer biology and contribute to precision oncology research capacity in Pakistan.

Volunteer Bio

Research taught me how to ask scientific questions, but organizing events taught me how to connect people around those questions. Whether it is a cancer awareness event, a conference, or a scientific discussion, I enjoy creating experiences that encourage participation rather than passive attendance. I like generating new ideas, improving existing ones, and finding practical ways to engage students, researchers, and professionals. I hope volunteering with SITC becomes the beginning of a long-term commitment to advancing cancer education and collaboration, particularly for researchers in Asia.
