Immunotherapy holds immense promise for the treatment of lung cancer, both non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) as mono-therapy (i.e by itself) and in combination with other therapies (targeted therapy, radiation, and other immunotherapies).This article, posted in 2015, describes the different immunotherapies available for lung cancer and the mechanisms behind how the therapies work.
