A Message from the President

I’m pleased to step in and provide this month’s update to the SITC community as we work through the temporary government shutdown together. While there is much to look forward to at SITC in the remainder of 2025, I am already looking ahead to the 2026 Spring Scientific program. This can’t-miss event will take place March 25–27, 2026, in Tucson, AZ, and virtually. The 2026 program will spotlight next-generation cellular therapies, T cell engagers, and novel combinations. Abstract submissions on these topics are now being accepted, and encore presentations are also welcome. Both poster and oral presentation opportunities are available, with five awards offered for outstanding abstracts. Selected awardees will receive complimentary registration, a certificate and a poster ribbon.

The Spring Scientific has quickly become a cornerstone meeting for the field. Last year's program saw record-breaking attendance, abstract submissions and exhibitor participation. Participants praised the caliber of science and the networking opportunities, and the success of the 2025 Spring Scientific — together with continued growth over the last three years — has firmly established the program as a key venue for presenting cutting-edge research.

SITC is proud to host two major programs that provide abstract opportunities for our community to share the latest and most innovative science. In addition to the Spring Scientific, our 40th Anniversary Annual Meeting & Pre-Conference Programs is just around the corner. Regular and Young Investigator Award abstract titles for this milestone event are now available, with full abstracts releasing on Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. ET, followed by the full details for Late-breaking Abstracts on Nov. 7 at 9 a.m. ET. We look forward to celebrating this historic occasion with the IO community and invite you to explore our special 40-year timeline — which highlights the society’s most significant milestones and achievements — and to join us at the 40th Anniversary Party featuring The CheckPoints on Nov. 8.

I’m looking forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary together at SITC 2025, and to keeping the momentum going at the Spring Scientific next March!
