Dr Sater visions his career as a translational researcher in cancer Immune therapy. Starting as a pathology resident, has definitely helped serve this goal. He currently focuses on combining his experimental pathology and basic science expertise to his clinical experience as a Clinician Oncologist at National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Sater was granted a research fellowship in experimental immunotherapy in June 2016 through June 2017. He has all the enthusiasm and resilience to be an exemplary researcher or physician scientist. He took lead in developing translational research protocols which combine both clinical and basic science interests. His clinical trial understanding matured more being an active member of the Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee since early 2015. In his work on early phase investigator initiated clinical trials, he is directly involved in designing and writing grants/protocols/LOIs. He is certainly an active part of the dedicated research phase I clinic at the cancer center as he serves as a co-investigator on all immune therapy trials. In addition he has built his clinical experience from specialty clinics in breast, lung, head and neck GI GU and others. In addition he served as the chief fellow for the year 2016-2017 hematology oncology fellowship program at Augusta University.
His research fellowship track was focused on discovering pathways leading to T regulatory cell (Tregs) stability and translating laboratory findings into Immune therapy trials.
He focused his most recent works on multiplex microscopy-VECTRA system to help develop valid Immunohistochemistry (IHC) biomarkers for human cancer immunotherapy.
