Bio

I am a medical oncologist and researcher who focus on developing novel therapies. I conduct early phase 0 and 1 immunotherapy clinical trials to treat patients with all tumor types.

I am a specialist in head and neck cancers, salivary gland tumors (with research focus in adenoid cystic carcinoma- ACC), non-melanoma skin cancers and virally associated cancers, including tumors caused by HPV, EBV, KSHV and HIV.

I am passionate about teaching patients about clinical trial opportunities and strive to help them understand and choose the best possible therapy available.

I am also an advocate of women in oncology, supporting and mentoring women in the field.

Volunteer Bio

I am the Associated Director of the Center for Novel Cancer Therapies (CNCT) and Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
I recently joined Northwell Health coming from the National Cancer Institute to build and expand our Early Developmental Therapeutics Program. In addition to developing and conducting phase 0 and 1 trials for all solid tumor types, I also practice Head and Neck oncology and have a major interest in salivary gland tumors, squamous cell carcinoma of the skin and virally associated malignancies.
Other interests include supporting women in oncology (happy that SITC accepted my suggestion for the Women in SITC professional interest group) as well as implementing patient reported outcomes in early clinical trials and evaluating different criteria for tumor response (other than RECIST); such as volumetric tumor measurement. I am passionate about research and ready to volunteer within SITC. I love to use social media as means to promote ideas and foster collaborations.
