Bio

Rom Leidner is Co-director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute, Providence St. Joseph Health, Portland, Oregon, USA. He completed residency in 2006 at the Virginia Mason Clinic in Seattle, WA, where he worked with Dr. David Aboulafia on immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome associated malignancy. He completed medical oncology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in 2009, working in the laboratory of Dr. Balazs Halmos on lung and esophageal cancer genetics, and subsequently joined the laboratory of Dr. Sanford Markowitz to 2012. He joined Providence-EACRI in 2013 with effort directed toward development of IO investigator-initiated research trials. Current areas of active focus: TCR engineered adoptive T cell therapy (TCR-T) in epithelial malignancies (with Eric Tran, PhD); neoadjuvant IO/SBRT TME reprogramming (with Bryan Bell, MD DDS and Marka Crittenden, MD PhD); combinatorial vaccine/co-stimulation (with Bernard Fox, PhD); and intratumoral IO & tissue PK/PD measurement (with Brian Piening, PhD).
