SITC is pleased to announce the publication of the guideline, “Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) clinical practice guideline on immunotherapy for the treatment of acute leukemia, version 2.0” in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer (JITC).

The acute leukemia treatment landscape has progressed considerably since the previous publication of the SITC acute leukemia guideline in 2020. There are now additional approved CAR T-cell therapies, T-cell engagers, and antibody-drug conjugates. Additionally, implementation in the front-line setting is becoming more common. The Acute Leukemia Immunotherapy Guideline Expert Panel was formed to develop evidence- and consensus-based recommendations to help clinicians select appropriate immunotherapeutic regimens for patients with ALL and AML based on disease and patient characteristics. The guideline also includes recommendations and discussions on transplant considerations in the immunotherapy treatment landscape, toxicity management, treatment sequencing, and patient education and quality of life.

The guideline is available in JITC, SITC’s open access, peer-reviewed online journal. Read more here.
