For Immediate Release CANCER LEADERS TO ADDRESS TUMOR IMMUNOLOGY AND BIOLOGICAL THERAPY Milwaukee, WI --- The International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer's "Primer on Tumor Immunology and Biological Therapy of Cancer" (Primer) will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2008 in San Diego, CA. Organized by Patrick Hwu, MD of MD Anderson Cancer Center and Kim A. Margolin, MD of the University of Washington, the 2008 Primer will feature an international slate of prominent researchers in the fields of cancer biologics and immunotherapy. iSBTc's Primer provides a series of lectures that address the fields of tumor immunology and immunotherapy, moving from the most basic principles to the most advanced and cutting-edge research ideas. Audience members will learn central concepts and recent advances in biologic therapies including cancer vaccines, vaccine adjuvants, host-tumor interactions and the role of the innate and adaptive immune systems in tumor immunology and therapy. "iSBTc has long been an epicenter for new data presentations," said Dr. Margolin, Primer Organizer.
