Stakeholders Advisory Council for Immunotherapy Education & Outreach

Stakeholders Advisory Council for Immunotherapy Education & Outreach

This council is responsible for proposing and carrying out education & outreach activities in support of the Society and its objectives to further the understanding of cancer immunotherapy to a broad audience. This committee, with the input of the CIEO specialty sub-committees, identifies knowledge gaps of important stakeholders in the cancer community at large; suggests topics, projects, and other salient outreach strategies for development; and prioritizes specific education and outreach activities for implementation.

The purpose of the Stakeholders Advisory Council for Immunotherapy Education & Outreach (CIEO) Specialty Subcommittees is to focus on the needs of a specific group of stakeholders (patients, physicians, scientists, nurses, industry, etc); identify their specific knowledge gaps; and suggest topics/projects to the CIEO for development into educational programs or other outreach activities. They are responsible for prioritizing topics for program development within their target audience sector and determining the educational intervention format that will best suit the needs of these stakeholders. Further, they will act as resources to either identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and subject matter experts (SMEs), and/or participate directly as content resources.
